My Areas of Interest
Therapy
I have experience with clients across the lifespan, but have a special interest in working with youth aged 4-25. I have worked with a range of presentations including:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Trauma
- Self-harm
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- ADHD
- Behaviour difficulties
- Grief
- Gender Identity
- Eating Disorders
- Low self-esteem
- Parenting strategies
I use a variety of therapy approaches including CBT, DBT, ACT, interpersonal and psychodynamic therapies. I believe in tailoring my therapeutic approach to the individual client and believe there is always more we can learn about therapy from our experiences with each of our clients.
Assessments
I am trained and experienced in providing a range of assessments including:
- Cognitive assessments
- Learning assessments
- ADHD assessments
- Autism Spectrum assessments
- A range of emotional and behavioural assessment measures
I believe assessment can be an important part of the therapy process. As a supervisor I believe in empowering my supervises by helping them to feel confident in both providing and interpreting assessments.
